Baking soda isn’t as effective a deodorizer for the fridge as that baking soda company would like you to believe. Activated charcoal is much better at absorbing fridge and freezer odors.

Baking soda is an extremely effective cleaner, though. Use it with vinegar to deodorize drains and clean stovetops and sinks.

It's hard to believe that ^^this^^ is where I was just 2 weeks ago.  My honey & I cruised the Bahamas in celebration of our 10 year anniversary.  That is one of the reasons it has been so quiet around here lately ~ I had so much to do to get ready for the trip - had a wonderful week away - and then came back to reality and wasn't quite ready for everything that was waiting on my 'to do' list. 

Unfortunately through all of that, my blog took a back seat. 

THEN I find out recently that something was wrong with my site - so what little posts that there were- weren't really getting to all of you =/  Thanks to a concerned reader's email - I was made aware of the problem and was able to fix it (although it was super frustrating to fix - I'm happy to say that with God's help, I did it :> ) 

I've really been praying and seeking God's will in where this blog is to go.  I think for a little while, I got the idea (and it was MY own idea) that I wanted Serving While Saving to be a mega blog where I taught 100,000s of people how to save money and work my fingers to the bone to find you the hottest deal.....yeah, well, I don't think that is God's will for this blog OR His will for me.  Serving While Saving was created for Him and BY Him - with me just as the middle woman.....so you may see a few changes in the days and weeks to come. 

But, I do hope that God can use (and has used) this site to teach you not only to save money but also to serve others (and in turn serve Him) along the way.  That is my heart and I truly believe the purpose of this site.  I cherish each and every one of you - whether I know you personally or not - and appreciate your continued support. [And I love hearing from you - so don't be shy, k?]

HOPEfully, I can put together a few pics from our trip!  It was truly an awesome experience.  We had such a wonderful time and I miss being there and relaxing with my man.  Why can't every day be a vacation day? ;)
